my everyday style: white after Labor Day!

I'm not much for following "rules" with my wardrobe... who is these days? Fashion can be such an amazing expression of yourself, why conform to rules?  And that definitely applies to the "no white after Labor Day" rule.  I can see that the rule comes from a reasonable place... but I think white is totally appropriate when worn right for fall and winter. These creamy white jeans have been in constant rotation lately and they are especially appropriate for the warm fall we have been having.  When I needed a date night look recently the white jeans + striped blouse combo with heels was a fun take on my usual "uniform" of denim, stripes and flats.

I'm such a sucker for the embellished sleeve trend... I keep thinking I've found the "last one" and then I find another I just can't live without. The square neckline on this blouse caught my eye right away and I mean, come on... how cute are these sleeves!?!?! I just couldn't resist.  The embellished sleeve trend isn't going anywhere any time soon... so I might as well keep having fun with it!
