Let's face it... it's not always easy getting dressed each day as a busy mom. You need something that can stay comfortable all day, maybe even experience some sticky hands or unexpected messes and of course you want to try and stay stylish and mindful of the trends on top of it all. It's big shoes to fill for an outfit! That's why I LOVE Evereve... they just "get" moms. Whether you have toddlers in the house or teens and tweens like me - they've got you covered for looking stylish and feeling great. Their tagline is "dress like a mom" - isn't that the best?
If you are local you need to stop by their store at Breton Village... and good news, if you are semi-local they are opening a new store in Lansing at the Towne Center - which is such a cool shopping area. The Lansing store opens on September 27. Stop by all day for sips and snacks, 15% off the entire store (valid only at the Lansing location) and as always their fantastic styling services. If you have never been to Evereve before to shop, you need to stop by for this reason only. I stopped by my own local store recently and they instantly greeted me at the door and asked a few questions to get to know me. What is my lifestyle? How many kids do I have? How old are they? What is my favorite thing to wear? They are super in tune to working with moms in a relaxed and helpful way - no pushy sales people here. I picked out a few items I liked, then my sales girls picked out a few more for me which is always fun to push me out of my comfort zone a bit. By the time we were done I had made a new friend AND walked out with a pretty fabulous outfit - not to mention a new wishlist about a mile long.
Check their website to find out if you have a store near you... even if you don't they offer a style box, which I can only imagine is amazing, that can be sent right to your door.
I'm not usually into prints, but my stylist encouraged me to try this leopard print sweater. It's super soft like a sweatshirt and I have to admit I felt pretty awesome sporting such a daring print! I was obsessed with these distressed hem jeans the minute I saw them and when my stylist recommended a fun pair of platform sneakers to finish the look off, I was sold. Whether you want to splurge or you are more on a budget, they have all ranges of price points. So while my jeans were a splurge... my earrings were a crazy budget find at only $12. They truly have something for everyone.
Gals! That's a wrap, summer 2017 is officially in the books! It's so hard to believe. It flew by... but I've got a few extra freckles and some dull skin to prove it... of course, along side lots of fun memories we made as a family. But still. It's officially time to get this face under control. I am contemplating a laser this fall and I will likely be getting a professional facial in the very near future. But in the meantime, I absolutely love at-home masks for a lot of reasons and I think they are 100% great at fixing up your skin quickly and easily for less money than professional treatments. My philosophy on beauty has really shifted over the past 10 years from just grabbing something at the drugstore and calling it good to really branching out and being willing to invest in my face. Of course, part of that is because my face is so closely tied my business as a blogger - but also because as I get closer to 40 years old I can really tell the difference that hig...
