easy summer entertaining with Pier 1 Imports!

In less than two weeks we will be kicking off the summer season with Memorial Day and in our house - that means the summer entertaining season is here! My favorite way to entertain is in the backyard. It's effortless, you don't have to worry about spills and a simple menu is never frowned upon. There is nothing better than shaking off the winter for good and spending time with friends and family outside with a meal.

Today I am partnering with Pier 1 Imports to feature their amazing outdoor entertaining pieces that really make backyard dining easy. Like I mentioned, the easier the menu the better with outdoor entertaining. I go for hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill, an easy salad, strawberry lemonade and adults and kids alike can't resist a rice krispie treat dessert - especially when there are sprinkles involved!

It's almost impossible to believe, but these red and white plates from Pier 1 are melamine. Yep! Totally easy to clean and completely un-breakable. And shhhhh, don't tell - but these goblets are plastic too. Can you even believe it? We've all broken a plate or a glass on the deck or patio (or at least I am guilty of this!) - but that is a thing of the past with these adorable place settings!

And I really love this double drink dispenser. I filled one with ice water and sliced lemons and limes and for the second I simply whipped up some lemonade (store bought is totally acceptable!) and then blended fresh strawberries in the blender to add to it. Voila! Strawberry lemonade!

Pier 1 also has an amazing selection of LED candles in all shapes and sizes. They are another no-mess super safe solution for ambient lighting when the sun goes down. And these even have a timer option, so you could decorate a front porch or deck with them and not have to worry about leaving them on all night.

I'm no pro when it comes to napkin folding so I cheated by simply folding these adorable chambray napkins accordion style and then slipped them through these adorable coral napkin rings for an easy place setting solution.
